Terms & Conditions of Use

1. Definitions

In these Terms, unless the context requires otherwise:

• "Account" means your registered user account on the Platform under your login credentials.
• "Content" means any text, images, audio, video, data, links, messages, comments, posts or other materials you upload, post, transmit or display via the Platform.
• "Services" means all features, functionalities, tools and resources offered by the Platform, including but not limited to profile creation, posting of Content, messaging, sharing, commenting, following, browsing, search, notifications, and other interactive elements, together with all updates and upgrades.
• "Platform" means the website and/or mobile application operated by us under the name "PUACP Legacy", including any sub-domains, related websites, associated services, mobile versions, and any updates or enhancements.
• "User-Generated Content" means Content you post, upload or submit to the Platform.
• "Third-Party Services" means any services, content or functions provided by persons or companies other than the Company, which may be accessed via or integrated with the Platform.

2. Eligibility & Account Registration

2.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (or such higher age as required under applicable law) and capable of forming a binding contract under the laws of Pakistan to register and use the Platform. If you are under 18 years of age, you confirm that you have obtained the consent of your parent or legal guardian to use the Platform and to agree to these Terms.

2.2 Registration Information

When you register for an Account, you agree to provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself as prompted by the registration form, and you agree to maintain and promptly update your information so that it remains accurate. You acknowledge that we may rely upon the information you provide, and that any misrepresentation may lead to immediate termination of your Account.

2.3 Security of Account

You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials (such as username and password) and for all activities that occur under your Account. You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised access or use of your Account. We are not responsible for any losses or damages resulting from your failure to safeguard your credentials or otherwise respect the security of your Account.

2.4 Suspension / Termination

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse registration of, suspend, or terminate your Account at any time for any reason (including without limitation a violation of these Terms) with or without notice. Upon termination or suspension, your rights under these Terms will cease immediately and we may delete or disable your Account.

3. Use of the Platform & User Conduct

3.1 License to Use

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform for your personal, non-commercial use.

3.2 Prohibited Conduct

You agree that you will not:

• Use the Platform in any manner that is unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, hateful, threatening, or otherwise objectionable.
• Post, upload or otherwise share any Content that violates rights of any third party (including intellectual property rights, privacy, publicity or other personal rights) or that you do not have a lawful right to use.
• Impersonate any person or entity or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Use the Platform to collect, store or disseminate personal data about other users without their express consent.
• Transmit any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising, promotional materials, spam, chain letters or other forms of solicitation.
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, spyware, worms or other harmful or disruptive code.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's services, servers or networks, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, other accounts, computer systems or networks connected to the Platform.
• Use any automated means (bots, scrapers, harvesting tools) to access the Platform unless you have our prior written permission.
• Use the Platform in a way that is incompatible with these Terms or with the intended use of the Platform as provided by us.

3.3 Your Content

You retain all rights in, and are solely responsible for, the Content you submit to the Platform. By posting or submitting Content you represent and warrant that you own or have the right to use the Content and grant the rights described below.

You hereby grant to us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, display and perform such Content (including without limitation derivative works) in connection with operating, providing and promoting the Platform and our business.

We reserve the right — but are not obligated — to monitor, review, remove or disable access to any Content that we, in our sole discretion, consider to violate these Terms or to be objectionable for any reason.

3.4 No Pre-Screening

We do not guarantee that the Platform or any part thereof will be free of offensive or objectionable Content. You acknowledge that we have no obligation to pre-screen Content, and you use the Platform at your own risk.

4. Data Security & Privacy

4.1 Our Commitment

We will apply commercially reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the security, confidentiality and integrity of your data and Content stored on or processed via the Platform. However, you acknowledge that no system is completely secure and that we cannot guarantee that unauthorised third persons will never defeat our security measures or hack the Platform.

4.2 Breach Notification

In the event of a security breach, unauthorised access, disclosure or other security incident ("Data Breach") affecting your personal data or Content, we will endeavour to notify you and take appropriate remedial steps as required under applicable law.

4.3 Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for logging out of your Account when using shared or public devices. You agree that you will not hold us liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to do so.

4.4 Limitation of Liability for Data Breach

To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, we will not be liable for (and you hereby waive) any indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with a Data Breach, regardless of whether we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our aggregate liability in respect of any Data Breach shall be limited as set out in Section 7.2 below.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Our Rights

All rights, title and interest in and to the Platform (excluding your User-Generated Content) and all related software, technology, inventions, processes, designs, interfaces, graphics, trademarks, service marks, logos, and documentation (the "Platform IP") are owned by the Company or its licensors. Except as expressly authorised by us, you may not copy, reproduce, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display or distribute the Platform IP.

5.2 Feedback

If you provide any feedback, suggestions, comments or ideas (collectively "Feedback") relating to the Platform, you grant us a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual, royalty-free licence to use and incorporate that Feedback without any obligation to you.

6. Suspension, Termination & Deletion

6.1 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your Account (and your access to the Platform) at any time, with or without cause or prior notice, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, you must stop using the Platform immediately. We may delete or disable your Account and associated Content. We are not obliged to provide any refund, compensation or other remedy upon termination.

6.2 Termination by You

You may terminate your Account at any time by following the "Account Deletion" procedure in your account settings or by contacting us. After you close your Account, certain information may remain stored for backup, archival or audit purposes (or as required by applicable law).

6.3 Survival

Sections which by their nature should survive termination of the Terms (including but not limited to Sections 4 (Data Security & Privacy), 5 (Intellectual Property), 7 (Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability), 8 (Indemnification), 9 (Governing Law & Dispute Resolution), 10 (General Provisions)) will remain in full force and effect.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Company and its officers, directors, students-volunteers, agents and affiliates from and against any and all losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees and costs) arising out of or in connection with:

• Your violation of these Terms;
• Your use of the Platform (including any Content you upload, post or otherwise transmit);
• Any claim that your Content or conduct infringes or violates the rights of a third party;
• Any unauthorised access to your Account or your conduct or omission;
• Your violation of applicable law.

9. Changes to the Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify, amend or replace these Terms or any part thereof at any time. When changes are made, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the beginning of this document.

If the changes are substantial, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you (for example via email or in-app notice). Your continued access to or use of the Platform after the date such revision becomes effective indicates your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Platform.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

10.1 Governing Law

These Terms and your use of the Platform shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to conflict of laws provisions.

10.2 Exclusive Jurisdiction

You and the Company each submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the city of Lahore, Province of Punjab, Pakistan (or the courts of Pakistan generally, as applicable). Any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform must be brought exclusively in those courts.

10.3 Severability & Waiver

If any provision of these Terms is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. Failure by the Company to enforce any right or provision under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

11. General Provisions

11.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms (together with any Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, or other policies posted on the Platform) constitute the entire agreement between you and the Company regarding your use of the Platform and supersede all prior or contemporaneous written or oral agreements or understandings.

11.2 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. The Company may assign or transfer any of its rights or obligations under these Terms at any time without notice to you.

11.3 No Third-Party Beneficiaries

Nothing in these Terms is intended to confer any rights or remedies on any person other than you and the Company.

11.4 Notices

All notices under these Terms shall be in writing and sent to the email address you have provided or to such other address as either party may designate in writing. You agree that notices delivered electronically (via email or posting on the Platform) are sufficient.

11.5 Headings

Section headings in these Terms are for convenience only and have no legal effect.

You acknowledge that no joint venture, partnership, employment or agency relationship exists between you and the Company as a result of these Terms or your use of the Platform.
